MSA Sold

I have sold my much loved MSA Classic XL SuperSustain II pedal steel to a new happy owner in beautiful Görlitz in East Germany who I hope will appreciate this wonderful instrument.

I bought it from Davie Holland in Glasgow over 10 years ago and I think that Davie was the second owner of the instrument. It saw some gigging action with Davie (I note there is a Sheltand sticker on the flight case) but not a lot with me as I was just learning the instrument.

I am unsure of the age of the guitar – the serial number is 1C6090 and I believe that you can obtain the date of manufacture from that. Unfortunately I never got around to doing that but the script lettering of the MSA decal on the pedal bar indicates that the model is pre-1985. It is fitted with a George L E-66 pickup which was designed by George L. Lewis for Buddy Emmons to give him that 1966 sound which made him famous.

The guitar is in very good condition and was completely renovated last year by Bob Adams up in Glasgow who did a very expert job (see my post regarding that work).

The copedent is a pretty standard E9 as follows:-

The guitar comes with a case.
